A main component of preventing child abuse is to understand that a child is innocent and pure. Since their minds are fragile and they are learning to reason and logic as they grow, children are vulnerable and susceptible to what they are exposed to. Their minds are like sponges; absorbing all they see and feel.
Every child has the natural right to feel love in their hearts and have a sense of security and protection. With this support, and the understanding and the experience of love and respect between the guardian and child, it helps to attribute to the growth of a child's self-esteem, and self-love and respect, in a positive light.
The other aspect of preventing child abuse is if an adult or guardian has, unfortunately, experienced abuse in their own childhood. It is very important and especially necessary to get the appropriate help and an understanding, to 'put a rock under the wheel' to prevent future cycling.
Prevention of child abuse is important to me because every child deserves a childhood of love and happiness.
